Barnes’ Schools and Workshops
The Barnes Atelier
We are incredibly lucky to have our very own art school based just off Barnes High Street. The Barnes Atelier was started by artists Travis Seymour and Nancy Fletcher, together classically trained at the Angel Academy in Florence as well as The Water Street Atelier and Grand Central Academy in New York.
With their expert teaching and lovely studio, the Barnes Atelier provide a core full-time atelier diploma programme in classical drawing & painting, with a supporting schedule of masterclasses and workshops held throughout the year. Their mission is to help artists reach their creative potential by teaching them the necessary drawing and painting skills required for successful realist painting.
Besides the full time course the Barnes Atelier offer a brilliant opportunity to attend a wide range of evening and weekend portrait, still life, and life classes for anyone who wants to improve their drawing and painting abilities and their general knowledge of materials and techniques. They also offer online tuition courses and mentoring.
