David Pearce

About the artist

David Pearce graduated from Maidstone College of Art in graphic design and photography and went on to become a senior designer at the world-renowned design company, Pentagram.

He later co-founded Tatham Pearce (www.tathampearce.co.uk) whose clients included: Barclays Bank, BBC, Bentley Motors, Jaguar Cars, Maybourne Hotel Group (Claridge’s, Berkeley, Connaught), Raleigh Bicycles, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Rolls Royce plc and many other prestigious companies base both in the UK and Europe.

David also worked closely with Land Rover between 1986 and 2011 - he designed their oval logo, created their corporate identity and was also a key advisor on their brand and corporate strategy, helping to launch their Discovery and new Range Rover vehicles and later their merchandising products.

He is a past member of the Design & Art Directors’ Association, has sat on its design committee and judged their prestigious awards programme on several occasions. David has also judged awards for The Association of Photographers and The Association of Illustrators and served on the executive committee of the Design Business Association, chairing its training committee. He has been a visiting lecturer in Graphic Design at the Royal College of Art and Central St Martins (University of the Arts London).

David was also an invited member of the Westminster Business Forum, a body organised to provide an opportunity for Members of Parliament to meet and discuss business issues with people in various industry and service sectors. 

In 2006 David decided to reduce the size of his company in order to work directly with a smaller group of selected clients, and also to pursue his own artistic projects - specifically drawing, painting and photography.

David is a founder member of Barnes Artists and has exhibited in a number of galleries and venues in London.
